Waterpark Fun

We spent an evening at Cascade Bay Waterpark here in Eagan. It's a perfect little waterpark. Joe was a little nervous to go down the new orange slide at first, but once he went down, he didn't stop! All he wanted to do was go down the slide again and again. He had so much fun. And Dave and I had fun just relaxing in the water.

Soccer Emmy

Today was Joey's last day of summer soccer. He was so excited when he got an "Emmy" for playing! He went home and put it on the mantel right next to Daddy's Telly Award.

Exchange Student - Mark from China

We are hosting Mark, an exchange student from China, this week. Joe is so excited to have another boy in the house. It's quite interesting having a teenager in the house, (Mark is 14). I hope he's having fun. There is a bit of a language barrier, but as long as we speak a little slower and in complete sentences, we can understand each other. He's in class all this week and we'll only see him for breakfast and dinner. I hope his first trip to the U.S. goes well!

Summer T-Ball

Joe's been having a lot of fun playing T-Ball 2 days a week. Though he still likes playing in the dirt just as much as playing ball. Today he came home with a bunch of sand in his hair because he likes to fill up the batting helmets with sand.

More Legos!!

We found this huge Lego set on clearance at Target today. It's one that Joe has been wanting for a while (it has a city bus!). So far, he's put together the bus and bus station all by himself. We're going to have to find a bigger place to store all his Legos now.

4th of July Carnival

We stopped by the 4th of July Carnival in Eagan. Joe got to go 2 nights in a row because we bought discount tickets ahead of time. He had a great time on the kiddie rides, but I think he may be ready for a trip to Valleyfair!

We very much enjoyed the Eagan 4th of July Parade with some friends. It was nice and hot (about 90 degrees), so we got nice and sweaty. We had lots of fun!

Bike Parade #1

Joey had a Bike Parade at Summer in the Park yesterday. He insisted on riding his Big Wheel and not his regular bike. His training wheels are a little off balance and it freaks him out. We'll have to practice more! But he had lots of fun decorating his bike and riding it around with the other kids. There's a city bike parade on Sunday for the 4th of July, hopefully he wants to do that one too!
