Teddy Bear Park

*Standing in front of the Stillwater Lift Bridge*

We ventured into Stillwater for a trip to the Teddy Bear Park. What a cute park! Then we walked along the river and watched the lift bridge raise up and let a big boat go underneath. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Lunch at Mickey's

*Yummy, a greasy burger & hasbrowns*

*Outside Mickey's Dining Car*

Joe and I had lunch at Mickey's Diner since we were at the Children's Museum right next door. Joe liked watching all the food get made, though he thought it took too long to get his food. He had a yummy grilled cheese and fries.

*Working hard in the warehouse*

We took a trip to the Children's Museum in St. paul today. We got free passes from the library and saved $20! Joe had a blast! His favorite part was the warehouse, he spent at least 30 minutes working with the other little boys to make the place work. It was very fun to watch. This was our first trip to the museum, and it was great. We'll have to come back again soon.

Going for a swim

Nothing better than going swimming on a super hot day! Luckily, my friend Becky has a pool and she invited us over for a swim. Joe thought it was great that he could touch the bottom in the shallow end and in the hot tub. We had lots of fun and stayed cool all day.

T-ball

Today was Joe's 1st day of T-ball! And it was super hot and humid, he got really sweaty. But he had a fun time and learned all about throwing. He was a little disappointed that they didn't get to hit the ball. Hopefully they'll do that soon!

VBS

*Joe and his group, The Fireflies*

*Joe's group playing Duck, Duck, Grey Duck*
We had Vacation Bible School this week at our church. It was so much fun. I was part of the snack making team, and made 85 snacks everyday for all the kids. And Joe got to have lots of fun learning about bible stories, playing games, making crafts, and singing. And he thought it was great that I was there too! He kept telling me he loved me everytime he saw me! Aaww, so sweet.
We can't wait to do it again next year!

During one of these afternoon walks in the 90+ degree weather, Joe said, "I want it to be winter!"
*You think Joe is posing for this picture, but really he was throwing his arms all around not wanting his picture taken*

*We stopped to eat supper and all these birds came to watch us eat.*

FL Train Ride

We drove to the tiny town of Parrish, Florida to take a vintage train ride. We rode in train cars from the 1950s through the swampy florida countryside. It was beautiful, humid, and rainy. We had a great time.

Florida!

We've traveled down to Florida to stay on St. Pete Beach for a much needed vacation. Joe was so excited to get here. He wanted to go straight down to the beach and make a sandcastle, so that's what we did. And we even got to catch the sunset.
