S-S-Snake!

*Joe with the snake on his stick*

*Grandma & Joe getting the snake with sticks*

Joe and Grandma found a snake with they were outside playing and caught it while he was playing dead.

Farming

*Joe's driving the combine with Grandpa*

*Riding in the combine watching the corn get sucked in.*

*Taking the corn to the coop elevator in the big truck with Uncle John*

*All done for the day; Joe drives the combine to the farm with Grandma & Grandpa.*

We headed down to Round Lake so Joe could help Grandpa with the harvest. He had his first ride in the combine, and he even got to drive! He was a hard working farm helper!

One Day Later...

We took these photos today in the same spot we took the pic of Joe from yesterday's post. What a difference a day makes! It's now very cold, extremely windy, and even snowing in our backyard. The first snow of the season in the Twin Cities! Yay!

Sunny Day

It's a beautiful day today, so Joe and I played in the backyard. And we stopped for a cute pic by the trees.

Pumpkin Carving

*Digging out his guts*

*Yuck! The pumpkin guts!*

*Dana carves the face*

*The finished pumpkin man*

We carved our pumpkin today. I HATE the way the pumpkin guts feel! Eeewww!~
But he turned out to be a pretty good looking pumpkin to set on our step.

Downtown

No Preschool today because it's MEA weekend, so we took the lite rail downtown to see the big, tall buildings. It was quite chilly, but we warmed up with some hot cocoa from Starbucks. And we were even lucky that the Farmers Market was today and we brought home some fresh fruit and veggies too!

Cold Morning

Our backyard looked so pretty this morning, I had to take some pictures. And when I stepped outside, it was so cold that I could see my breath! The thermometer said 40 degrees. Pretty soon it'll be time to get the winter coats out!

Apples

4 generations went to Aamodt's Apple Farm in Stillwater to get some apples today. Great-Grandma Shevik, Grandma T., Me, and Joe got all wet in the rain, but we had fun finding yummy apples. And we even got a couple pumpkins too.

Cold Fall Eve

Burrrr...It's so cold we had to start a fire in the fireplace tonight. There's talk from the local meteorologists that we may even have frost tonight! Eeek! Still, we had a perfect evening enjoying the fire, a little popcorn , and watching our favorite shows (Pushing Daisies & Dirty, Sexy, Money!).

Holz Farm

*Pedaling his way across the farm on the tractors*

*Joe makes his own rope!*

*Joe milks "Oreo"*

*Looking for the nickels in the hay stack*

*Joe found a nickel!*

We went to Holz Farm today to take in all the fun farm festivities. We had fun going on a hayride, churning butter, and petting the sheep, bunnies, & chicks.

Gymnastics

I took Joe to gymnastics this week. He had a blast running and jumping into the pit, bouncing on the trampolines, and climbing all over the place. He can't wait to go back!

At Work

Dave and Joe came to work with me and they had some fun sitting at the news desk. We were going to take a pic of all of us at the desk, but the dumb camera ran out of batteries! Oh well, I'm there all the time, I can get one later. Joe thought it was pretty cool that he could watch himself in the monitors.

Pilot Joe

I ordered Joe a Pilot costume for Halloween, but it was too small! Ugh! At least he got to try it an and he loved it. Now on to more searching for another Pilot costume, since his heart is set on it. I've got some shopping to do!

First Day

Today was Joe's first day of Preschool! It was quite chilly so he wore his hat. We got in the van to go and his favorite song came on the radio! What a great way to start the day! And when we got to the classroom, he was ready to leave us, he asked, "Can I go play now?". It's like he couldn't get rid of us fast enough!

A Party

*Joe, Ethan, & Ethan (Joe is the youngest!)*

*Joe pinning the Pirate on the Ship while blindfolded*

*Joe watching Ethan open his presents*

*Ethan blowing out the candles*

Joe went to his friend, Ethan's 4th birthday party over the weekend. It was a Pirate party! The boys giggled and ran around the room, ate lots of candy, and had a great time.
